Other Particulars

Reliance on DLL Modules. To reduce the memory footprint of the program the real-time help, dialog resources, menus, accelerator tables, toolbar bitmaps and the 3D procedural texture bitmap images are stored in external DLL files.

Binary Scene File Format. A packet-based binary data file format (BDF) allows every aspect of a 3D scene to be loaded or saved quickly to disk. Selective scene elements can also be saved or loaded.

Scene Comments Dialog Box. Verbose comments can be saved along with each BDF scene file.

Remote Rendering. Because the NuGraf BDF disk file format is machine independent, any 3d file can be sent to a SUN, SGI or DEC Alpha machine for rendering using a stand-alone version of the NuGraf renderer.
